Beth A. Fiss
For Circuit Court Clerk
27 Years Experience Working For You
My name is Beth A. Fiss and I am seeking election for the office of Circuit Court Clerk in the 2018 Democratic primary on May 22.
I began working for our city as a 9-1-1 operator, and have been faithfully serving in our court system ever since.
For the past 22 years I have worked for the Administrative Office of the Courts as the District Court Judicial Secretary in Simpson and Allen Counties for Judge Martha Blair Harrison and Judge Frank H. Wakefield II.
I am proud to call Franklin my home. I graduated from Franklin Simpson High School in 1989 and continued my studies at Western Kentucky University where I got my Bachelor's degree in education.
I continue to serve my community by being an active member of the Franklin-Simpson Chamber of Commerce, the Franklin-Simpson Leadership Alumni, the Simpson County Democratic Women’s Club, and the Franklin Business & Professional Women’s Club.
Faith is an important aspect of my life. I have been a member of Franklin First United Methodist Church for 25 years. I have also served as a local pastor in Adairville, Auburn, and Franklin for the past 12 years.
I attend the extended campus of Emory University’s Candler School of Theology and I am currently serving my third year as an AmeriCorps Volunteer as the Simpson County Coordinator for Room In The Inn, Inc.
Franklin is where I have raised my family. My husband, Richie, and I have been married for over 27 years and have raised two beautiful daughters, Kaitlyn and Lauren. We also have one 4-year-old granddaughter, Chloie. We currently live in the Rapid’s area of Simpson County.
I have enjoyed serving the community for many years and hope to serve as your Simpson County Circuit Court Clerk. In my 22 years of experience of working with judges and clerks from across the state, I know firsthand what it takes to run an efficient and effective office. I have proven leadership skills, and the experience and the knowledge to provide you with excellent customer service while maintaining all court records. This office will remain open during lunch for your convenience and you will receive service with a SMILE. I will serve Simpson County as your ‘WORKING CLERK’!
Thank you to everyone who supported me this year in my election fir Circuit Court Clerk! I look forward to serving the citizens of Simpson County January 1, 2019!
